Terms of Use
Last updated: July 26, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Fieldhouse Bar & Grill website and the forms and messaging programs offered through it. By using this site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Who We Are
The site is operated by Fieldhouse Bar & Grill, 138 S. Clinton St, Iowa City, IA 52240. Contact us at bar@iowacitybar.com.
2. Eligibility and Venue Age Policy
You must be at least 18 years old to submit a form on this site. Entry to the venue is limited to guests who are 19+ or 21+ depending on the night and the event, and valid government-issued identification is required. Alcohol is served only to guests 21 and older. Nothing on this site is an offer to serve alcohol to anyone under 21.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or impersonating information through any form.
- Use automated tools to scrape, overload, probe, or attack the site.
- Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to access.
- Upload malware, or files that are unlawful, infringing, or harmful.
- Use the site to send spam or unsolicited commercial messages.
We may limit, suspend, or block access to the site or to our forms at any time to protect the site, our staff, or our guests.
4. Reservations, VIP Tables, and Rentals
Submitting an inquiry through this site is a request, not a confirmed booking. A reservation exists only when Fieldhouse confirms it in writing and any required deposit is received. Pricing shown on the site, including VIP table minimums, is subject to change and may vary by date, event, and group size. Deposits, cancellation windows, minimums, taxes, and gratuity are set out in the confirmation we send you, and those written terms control over anything on this page.
Availability is not guaranteed, and we may decline or cancel a booking at our discretion, including for capacity, safety, licensing, or conduct reasons.
5. Employment Applications
Submitting an application does not create an employment relationship, an offer, or any promise of employment. Any employment with Fieldhouse is at-will unless a signed written agreement says otherwise. Fieldhouse is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, pregnancy, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other status protected by federal, Iowa, or Iowa City law. If you need a reasonable accommodation to apply or to interview, email bar@iowacitybar.com and we will work with you.
6. Messaging Program Terms
If you opt in to our email or text program, you consent to receive recurring marketing messages from Fieldhouse. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe from texts or HELP for assistance, and use the unsubscribe link in any email. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
7. Content You Submit
You are responsible for the content you submit, including resumes and messages, and you confirm you have the right to share it. By submitting content you grant us a non-exclusive license to store and use it for the purpose you sent it. Do not send confidential information belonging to someone else. Unsolicited ideas or proposals are submitted without any obligation of confidentiality or compensation.
8. Intellectual Property
The Fieldhouse name, logo, photography, layout, and text on this site are owned by Fieldhouse or used with permission and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, republish, or use our marks or photography for commercial purposes without written permission. To report claimed copyright infringement, email bar@iowacitybar.com with the work at issue, the URL, and your contact information.
9. Photography at the Venue
Fieldhouse and its guests may take photos and video inside the venue and at events. By entering, you may appear in images used for promotional purposes. If you would prefer not to appear, tell a manager or email bar@iowacitybar.com and we will remove you from material we control.
10. Third-Party Links
The site links to third-party services such as Google Maps, Instagram, and Facebook. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices.
11. Accuracy of Information
Hours, specials, pricing, events, and menu items change and may be posted in error. We make reasonable efforts to keep the site current but do not warrant that everything on it is accurate, complete, or up to date. Please confirm with us before relying on any detail.
12. Food Allergies and Health Notice
Our kitchen and bar handle common allergens, including wheat, dairy, eggs, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, and shellfish, and cross-contact can occur. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free item. Tell your server about any allergy before ordering. Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, or eggs may increase your risk of foodborne illness.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
The site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fieldhouse and its owners, employees, and agents are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of this site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to one hundred dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Fieldhouse from claims, damages, and reasonable attorneys' fees arising out of your misuse of the site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of the rights of another.
16. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute that is not resolved informally must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Johnson County, Iowa, and you consent to that jurisdiction. Before filing, please email bar@iowacitybar.com so we can try to resolve the issue directly.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. The updated version is effective when posted with a new "Last updated" date, and your continued use of the site means you accept it.
18. Severability and Entire Agreement
If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Accessibility Statement, are the entire agreement between you and Fieldhouse regarding this website.
